Our signature event, opens its doors to families at no cost and no catch. Behind every event: volunteers who greet families by name, pack supplies, and make sure nobody leaves empty-handed.
It runs entirely on donated goods and donated time – proof that a little, from a lot of us, adds up to a lot.
A Little From A Lot was founded by Dr. Ola McLendon, who spent over 40 years teaching, mentoring, and championing kids and families before she ever opened a donation closet.
That instinct never left her. It just found a new home: turning everyday generosity — a few hours, some supplies, a few dollars — into real relief for families who are one bad week away from crisis.
She has been happily married to Harold D. McLendon for over 40 years and they have two talented sons, Luke and Omar McLendon. Additionally, they have caring daughter-in-laws, Sadie and Tiara McLendon, along with four wonderful grandchildren: Henry, Rosie, Jackson, and Carter McLendon.
